My Approach to Carving
There isn't a grand scheme behind the work I create. When I see a piece of wood, I look for the story it has to tell—its natural character, its potential. That's why I seldom take on commissions; I prefer to let the wood guide me, transforming raw material into an expression of its inherent beauty. I see myself more as an artist than merely a craftsman, striving to reveal the poetry in simplicity through each piece.
